1 World Solar is a mission led company, dedicated to reducing emissions of climate changing gases such as carbon dioxide. The 'Inconvenient Truth' (as Al Gore put it) is that we're exploiting the earth's energy and other resources at a rate about 3-5 times of that which is sustainable. Continuing like this will have terrible global consequences in human and economic terms as the Stern Report recently documented. Our aim is therefore to help achieve sustainability in the UK so that we live within the resources of the one world we all occupy. Hence our motto 1 World Solar - because we have only one world.
Whilst thinking globally we're trying to act locally by offering a range of high quality microgeneration solutions as well as heat recovery and rainwater harvesting. By adopting some or all of these measures we can all reduce our carbon footprint and help with the bigger picture.
1 World Solar was established in 2007, but is a spin off from the solar supply company Imagination Solar, originally established in 2001.

| The Microgeneration Certification Scheme is owned by the department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) and is designed to evaluate products and installers against robust criteria for microgeneration technologies, providing greater protection for consumers and ensuring that the Government's (i.e. taxpayers) grant money is spent in an effective manner. |

The Solar Trade Association was established in 1978 and is the oldest renewable energy association in the UK. As well as promoting solar thermal technology the aims of STA include raising technical and ethical standards via a strict Code of Practice which members must follow. 1 World Solar MD Jon Walker is a Director of the Solar Trade Association and sits on its governing Council.

The REAL Assurance Scheme has been set up by the Renewable Energy Association. REAL membership is a sign that the supplier has agreed to abide by the high standards as set out in our Consumer Code. The REAL logo is a symbol of professional excellence.

The Renewable Energy Association was established in 2001 and represents the UK's renewable energy industry, covering all renewable power heat and fuels. Through our membership we support lobbying across the whole spectrum of renewables: electric power, heat and biofuels.
