A cylinder (hot water tank) is used for storing hot water for space heating or domestic use. In a solar thermal system, a solar hot water storage tanks stores heat from solar thermal collectors.

We offer cylinders suitable for the main two types of hot water systems in UK homes:

• Vented: Older system, common in UK homes, requires you have a cold water header tank, hot water can be vented in case of overheating.
• Unvented: Newer system, common in new builds, does not require header tank, takes up less space, but requires an expansion vessel and other features in case of overheating.
