| The VAT we charge for supply only equipment has been cut by 2.5% to 15% from 1st December 2008 until the end of 2009. This is great news for DIY'ers and for smaller businesses who are not VAT registered. It will no doubt encourage uptake during the difficult economic times of 2009. The VAT rate for installed domestic microgeneration systems is already a very low 5%. |

1 World Solar have now launched a new website, emphasising the range of products and services now being offered. This recognises that in addition to the solar systems offered by sister company Imagination Solar, 1 World Solar are able to offer expert design supply and installation of a wide range of technologies, including solar thermal, PV, shower heat recovery, heat pumps, rainwater harvesting and hot water cylinders. New content mangement technology also helps the site to be kept up to date. Other related sites such as Imagination Solar and Shower-Save will also be updated soon.

| 1 World Solar managing director Jon Walker launches the new Solar Trade Association logo at the House of Commons on 25th June 2008. Jon said "I'm proud to be a Council member of the STA, helping our emerging industry maintain high technical and ethical standards. The industry has been around for over 30 years, but is now finally being recognised for it's potential to help combat climate change." |
